From 2 April 2024 IAM RoadSmart is increasing the cost of Advanced Driver training to £200 and Advanced Rider training to £215.
If you sign up with IAM RoadSmart for either course before 2 April it will cost £175.
The Ballymena Group started originally in 1986 as a IAM subgroup. In 1990, Ballymena became a group in its own right.

The group runs three Short Term Associate Courses (STAC) each year. Each course lasts three weeks; after which associate members are assigned an observer who will act as 'mentor' on a voluntary basis and assist them in preparation for the advanced driving test. Test preparation is carried out using the Associate's vehicle. The schedule of observed runs are arranged at mutually convenient times.
We offer car, motorcycle and commercial vehicle Advanced Driving Tests.
All members are encouraged to attend the monthly meetings for which a varied programme of social and driving-related events are organised. Previous programmes have included advice on car security, visits to local car dealerships, local fire station and social gatherings such as barbecues and treasure hunts.
Usually 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm in Ballymena North Business and Recreation Centre, 120 Cushendall Road, Ballymena, BT43 6HB.
